This bibliography page is divided into the individual eras in American history covered by the Tennessee River Valley Consortium (TRVC) Teaching American History Grant. In a few cases, the era in American history has been subdivided to include other relevant events of the period. Each era included in this page contains numerous volumes by some of the most noted scholars of the period. The books included on this bibliography page is by no means a definitive list, however, these titles will provide a good starting place to better understand the people, events, ideas, and issues that have shaped the history of the United States.
